Sánchez Cristian Alfredo Gonzalez and hard-fought win a glass of Canary snipe . Rayco Tabares and Gonzalo Morales seconds and Carlos Hernández Herrera Oliver closed with the podium.


Thirteen boats competed in the Canary Snipe Cup organized by the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife with heavy wind conditions on both days. Six tests hotly contested, and a championship was not decided until the last test.


Alfredo and Rayco has played a lovely weekend. A true match for each test, tacks, jibes, all very fair and very exciting. Rayco Saturday broke into the first test the helm, winning Alfredo testing. Rayco then won the next two and Alfredo two seconds. After leading the first day and Cristian Alfredo, seconds Leonardo Arms and David Martin tied with Carlos Hernandez and Oliver Herrera. Rayco stayed behind with his withdrawn pending disposal. With this all was for Sunday.

The second day, the wind was again strong protagonist. Clean start and a very nice race with a spectacular battle between Alfred and Rayco who stood fast in the fleet. Alfredo mounted first windward after making the beat out, by right, and did not let go the first position to the finish line. Rayco tried to unnerve the leader, and at times he succeeded in tacking duel, in which he and Gonzalo pared always something. Alfredo end the war and headed left a goal, but a contrarolada him out of course and had to turn next to the buoys to enter. Rayco come and gone a long run. Alfredo photo finish and won by mere inches. This result tied the tournament, two first and two seconds for each.

The output of the second test was not as clean and as much as Rayco Carlos Hernández had to return because they are outside. Rayco quickly crossed the sterns and turned all Barlas of the fleet, and right there with a good re-entered the fight. Alfredo went by viewer with many ships that left Barlas closed without a chance to turn. The first mark the Miguel Guerra mounted in first place, but did not last long, because in the long Rayco and Alfredo are very fast and had little difficulty passing them. Rayco led all the evidence and finally won, followed by Alfredo and Carlos Alfredo Morales went to the finish line for third.

Alfredo and Rayco has a couple of points of boat speed and handling over rest. With few other boats are kept, but the next drink of Spain with 45 ships will be larger distances.
