the sexual diversity movement began this year with the right foot, it is a claim that several generations of people in our community were waiting, it is the civil code reform passed by the House of Representatives which is able to marry for gay couples, which historically took place in the Federal District, where it clearly specifies that same-sex within the federal entity can marry and adopt children. This news caused a revolutionary wave across the country, groups of diversity, human rights organizations, academics and politicians were the main spokesmen for the opinion of this controversial debate, although we can not ignore the unwise comments that have been generated by right-wing politicians and conservative religious groups.
civil society could not remain with folded arms against this reality that appears once more as an opportunity to celebrate and also to provide for actions to strengthen our LGBT community. In several cities in Spain protest marches took place, such as those made on 14 February for the right to marry and the package of social rights (social security, housing, family credit, adoption, inheritance among others) to get a citizen by marriage, and last but not least in public places symbolic weddings were held the same as the one held February 14 at 6pm in front of Cathedral Plaza Guadalajara where LGBTH The University Network, colleagues, AC and other groups called for this march and civil weddings, which also joined with another parallel event called "First Picnic for Sexual Diversity" organized by the Center for Diversity and Sexual Rights and Collective Diversiless AC.
Immediately after the date of these events were put on alert the governors of Jalisco, Guanajuato, Sonora, Morelos becoming assert their religious prejudices, as Catholic morality if it were part of the laws of our country, only to be accumulated disputes before the Supreme Court of the nation, despite being ridiculous, only known to us to ensure equal rights in all stock is in their political agenda.
Under the slogan "the same taxes the same rights" symbolic weddings were held with 11 couples both gay men and lesbians in which they indicated love, commitment and mutual support to enforce their rights as citizens before the law. This event is just the first step to recognize diverse families in our city, as the media and the same society have concealed the existence of these families, who are already trained and have many children's homes.
The reality of the traditional family as society's unique and will never again pass to recreate a variety of different ways to integrate a family and therefore there will be new dynamics that will impact in different areas such as matters labor rights, civil and of course, politicians.
